Research Interest
Dr. Seema Mehta Steinke’s research interests include infectious complications in transplant and oncology patients, resistant/refractory cytomegalovirus infection, fungal infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and infectious complications in cancer patients receiving checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Seema Mehta Steinke is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She joined as a Telemedicine provider in 2021 after serving as Transplant and Oncology Infectious Diseases faculty for six years at Johns Hopkins University. Her major clinical interests are infections in transplant recipients and oncology patients and antimicrobial stewardship in these patient populations. She also has an interest in developing a telemedicine program to expand access to care amongst the transplant population.

Dr. Seema Mehta Steinke enjoys working with and teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
