Research Interest
Developing therapy to optimize microvascular perfusion. NIH R01 funding to develop technique of sonorepefusion, which is the application of ultrasound to intravascular microbubbles to relieve microvascular obstruction and restore myocardial perfusion in the setting of percutaneous coronary intervention of acute myocardial infarction.
Clinical Interest
Interventional cardiology. General cardiology. Expertise in general cardiovascular medicine, non invasive cardiology, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Additional expertise in cardiac catheterization and techniques in interventional cardiology therapies.
Educational Interest
Providing research mentoring for fellows, residents, graduate students and undergraduate students. Providing procedural education to fellows in cardiac catheterization techniques. Community outreach education.
