Research Interest
Dr. Althouse has been one of the biostatistics faculty appointed within the Center for Research on Health Care since joining the Center for Clinical Trials & Data Coordination in 2018. His principal research interest is the design, conduct, and analysis of randomized controlled trials. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and presently works as the lead statistician on ten actively enrolling or recently completed randomized controlled trials in medicine across several specialties including palliative care, primary care, nephrology, and cardiology. In addition, Dr. Althouse is Statistical Editor for Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and Vice Chair of the American Heart Association Statistics Task Force.
