As a Research Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Steam Cell Institute at the University of Miami, Dr. Kaplan's previous research focused on steam cell differentiation and its application in treating heart disease, neurological disease, bone disease, cancer, diabetes, and other chronic, debilitating, or incurable diseases. Dr. Kaplan has also researched the effects of common active pharmaceutical ingredients on model test organisms, and medical genetics.
