Research Interest
Dr. Kowalski has conducted research focused on evaluating the infrastructure, needs, and accessibility of telerehabilitation to better serve patients with disabilities. She also worked with the Philadelphia Collaborative Violence Prevention Center to design, implement, and evaluation community sustaining programs that enhance resiliency and reduce the frequency and impact of youth violence, injury, and death.

Clinical Interest
Dr. Kowalski is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine and staff hospitalist in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Section of Hospital Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her internal medicine residency at UPMC. Dr. Kowalski has conducted research focused on evaluating the infrastructure, needs, and accessibility of telerehabilitation to better serve patients with disabilities. She also worked with the Philadelphia Collaborative Violence Prevention Center to design, implement, and evaluate community sustaining programs that enhance resiliency and reduce the frequency and impact of youth violence, injury, and death.

Dr. Kowalski is board certified in Internal Medicine and an active member of the American College of Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.
