Dr. White’s research is diverse and spans the topics of bariatric surgery outcomes, obesity, alcohol use, substance use, and occupational lung disease. She has an overarching interest in epidemiological methods, particularly those related to the design, conduct, and analysis of observational studies, clinical trials, and complex surveys. Dr. White has worked as an epidemiologist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as an analyst for the Epidemiological Data Center in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, as a Senior Research Analyst providing technical and statistical expertise in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and as a Project Scientist on multiple randomized controlled trials in the Institute for Clinical Research Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. White has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in well-respected, high-impact journals.
