Research Interest
Dr. Manroa's research area of interest is Quality improvement Initiatives and comparative effectiveness research. She has participated in Research projects and Quality improvement projects during her training and was awarded a $10,000 grant for her research project by VA Pittsburgh MEPS grant 2015-2016.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Manroa's clinical interests focus on thyroid disorders including benign conditions like hypo or hyperthyroidism as well as management of thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. She is a member of the Multidisciplinary Thyroid Center at University of Pittsburgh and performs office based US guided thyroid FNAB. She is also interested in disorders of parathyroid glands and management of osteoporosis including interpretation of Bone Density (DXA) scans.
Educational Interest
Dr. Manroa is involved in clinical training and education of Endocrinology fellows, Internal medicine residents and medical students.
