Clinical Interest
Dr. Abramovitz has a particular interest in the management of patients with resistant and secondary hypertension. He is involved in the UPMC Hypertension Clinic which is a multidisciplinary clinic utilizing the expertise of nephrology, cardiology, dietitians, and pharmacists. He is also interested in the care of patients with glomerulonephritis and chronic kidney disease. He provides inpatient consultative services at UPMC Mercy, Shadyside, Presbyterian/Montefiore, and Magee.
Educational Interest
Dr. Abramovitz completed the Measey Medical Education Fellowship during his 2nd year of nephrology fellowship. He has an interest in curriculum development at the undergraduate (medical students) and graduate (internal medicine residents and nephrology fellows) level. His ultimate desire is to improve diagnostic processes and understanding of nephrology as well as spurring an interest in the field.
