Research Interest
Dr. Chennat is an Associate Professor of Medicine whose research investigates such conditions as Barrett’s esophagus neoplasia, endotherapies for pancreatitis, novel imaging techniques such as confocal endomicroscopy, and endoscopic devices and product designs related to guided visualization and targeted tissue ablation. Dr. Chennat's clinical focus involves patients who require advanced endoscopic evaluation for disorders such as complex pancreatitis, Barrett's esophagus, and gastrointestinal lumen and pancreato-biliary cancer staging.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Chennat is a nationally recognized interventional gastrointestinal endoscopist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various benign and malignant disorders of the gastrointestinal luminal and pancreaticobiliary tracts through minimally invasive advanced endoscopy techniques. She focuses on clinical conditions such as pancreatitis, biliary tract disorders, esophageal disorders, and luminal neoplasia endoscopic management.
Educational Interest
Endoscopic educational instruction of Gastroenterology fellows and resident house officers in various therapeutic endoscopy techniques, indication, complications, and pertinent disease managements. She is the director of the Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship training program, and oversees the curriculum development, certification, and endoscopic training in this program.
