Research Interest
• Ultrasound imaging in diagnostic medicine, including spatial coherence imaging, 3D elasticity imaging, tissue harmonic
imaging, and photoacoustic imaging
• Cardiac and skeletal muscle biomechanics, including right-ventricle remodeling in pulmonary hypertension, and elastic
wave motion in muscular tissue
• Modeling and measurement of nonlinear wave phenomena in complex materials such as soft tissue, polymers,
geomaterials, and piezoelectrics, including wave propagation, resonance phenomena, diffraction, and guided waves
• Material characterization of nonlinear and viscoelastic materials using acoustical techniques
