Clinical Interest
Dr. Farooq is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine and staff hospitalist in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Section of Hospital Medicine. He attended medical school at King Edward Medical University before completing his residency in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. He joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018. Dr. Farooq's clinical interests focus on role of biomarkers in sepsis associated dysglycemia and association of post-op elevated lactate with outcomes in living donor liver transplant recipients.
