Clinical Interest
Dr. Mitchell provides clinical care for patients at the Benedum Geriatric Center within Montefiore Hospital, as well as Heritage Place, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. Special interests include both inpatient and outpatient consultative geriatrics, especially the evaluation of cognitive impairment and the management of post-operative delirium. Dr. Mitchell also has a passion for clinical care and leadership within the long-term care setting.
Educational Interest
Dr. Mitchell is interested in teaching evidence-based geriatric principles to interdisciplinary learners across a variety of settings, with an emphasis on patient-centered care.
