Clinical Interest
Cardiology for me is a passion that started at a young age after my father had a heart attack. When thinking back to that time I remember the futility my mother and I experienced in trying to understand what was happening. My father's heart disease inspired me to become a cardiologist and to help others enjoy better health and longer lives. Heart catheterization, echocardiography, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure are just a few of my clinical interests.
Educational Interest
I am most interested in heart disease prevention. The Dean Ornish program has been a passion of mine. Other programs that focus on prevention are also of keen interest. I attempt to empower patients through education to consider life style modification that can potentially transform their lives for the better. I also enjoy teaching residents and fellows Clinical Cardiology and catheterization lab procedures. The conditions of Sleep Apnea and obesity and Palliative care for the end stage cardiology patient as well as care for the family are also passions.

Teaching activities include:
2017: Mentorship/teaching, fellows on Cardiology Consult Service
2014-present: Medical student and Resident teaching on Clinical service rotations at Shadyside

I have also served as a faculty instructor and Clinical preceptor for the UPMC Physician Assistant School program ( In the "School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences") at the University of Pittsburgh.
