Research Interest
My research focuses on cardiovascular disease in women, mitral valve prolapse, mitral annular disjunction and innovative implementation tools for cardiovascular disease. I have 3 IRB's including a prospective registry on mitral annular disjunction.
Clinical Interest
I am the inaugural chair of the Echocardiography Twitter Journal club, a formal journal club on Twitter for which I developed CME for the American Society of Echocardiography. I am a former Board Member of the ASE and served as its Social Media Strategist. I chair the WOMEN in Echo committee and serve on the National Sessions Committee.

I am the Social Media Editor for Circulation Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes and the Journal of American Society of Echocardiography. My writing and interpretation of scientific articles have led to me being a top influencer for the ACC, AHA, ASE, and European Congress of Cardiology. I am a national and international figure for social media for education for cardiologists and medical doctors. I founded the PA chapter of Women in Cardiology and currently served on the Leadership Council of the ACC Women in Cardiology Committee.
Educational Interest
I am the course director for Med 5910 Narrative Literature and the Experience of Illness, Pandemics in Medicine and Society, Culinary Medicine , and the Being a Physician . I co-created TelemedNow, a prominent weekly telemedicine discussion on Twitter, which teaches a myriad of telemedicine topics, with CME. I serve on the Telemedicine Teaching Task Force to teach our UPSOM students about telemedicine.
