Research Interest
Dr. Francis's research interests include fatty liver disease and association with obesity, thrombocytopenia in liver disease and liver diseases in general. Gastroenterology research interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Francis’s clinical interests include all kind of liver diseases, including fatty liver, viral hepatitis as well as cirrhosis and its complications. He evaluates and manages liver transplant patients. In addition to caring for patients with liver disease, Dr. Francis has an extensive clinical portfolio to diagnose and treat general gastroenterology conditions and pancreaticobiliary disorders.
Educational Interest
Dr. Francis is an active teacher of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of medical students, interns and residents as well as Gastroenterology fellows.
He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Gastroenterology Exam Item Writing Task Force.

Dr. Francis holds 3 board certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology. He is also certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine in Obesity Medicine.
