Research Interest
Dr Rimi Hazra’s research primarily includes the interactions between vascular and neuronal biology. Specifically, her research focuses on the cellular and molecular signaling between the cerebral microvessels, astrocytes and neurons responsible for sickle cell disease pathology. Her overall goal is to identify therapeutic targets for resolving white matter injury and restoring vascular dementia in sickle cell disease.
