Research Interest
Dr. Mantica is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology with the subspecialty of Adult Neuro-Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Mantica's primary research interests include women's neuro-oncology, novel therapies for treatment of high grade gliomas, central nervous system lymphoma and metastatic brain tumors as well as neurological complications of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Mantica is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine with subspecailty of adult neuro-oncology at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Dr. Mantica specializes in the care of inpatients and outpatients with primary brain and spinal cord tumors, metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors, central nervous system lymphoma, paraneoplastic neurologic disorders and neurological complications of oncological treatments. She is a member of several professional organizations including Society of Neuro-Oncology and American Academy of Neurology.
Educational Interest
As an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Mantica is actively involved in medical student, resident and fellow clinical education. She serves as a clinical instructor for the medical student neoplasia and neurobiology of disease postgraduate courses. Dr. Mantica also serves as a mentor to neurology resident trainees.
